Logos Hope is a Christian missionary boat that travels around the world spreading the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is full of volunteers who spend anywhere from a few months to a few years on it as it sails the vast oceans, traveling from country to country.
It just so happened that Logos Hope landed in Ulsan while I am still living here. So instead of our regular English service, our church signed us up for a multicultural event aboard the enormous ferry.
The first 2 hours were spent having snacks and chatting with all sorts of people from various countries. There were performances, speeches, sermons, and even a small plastic straw building contest (at which we came in 2nd place! woohoo!) Afterwards we got a small tour of the ship. It was pretty fun.
At the end of the tour we were lead to the main area of the Logos Hope where they had a huge Christian bookstore. This is the main attraction of the boat ( I think ..?)
However, my absolute favorite part of the trip was one of the performances during the multicultural event. It was short, simple, and powerful! It depicted our relationship with God that gets severed by worldly things. Oh my goodness, I am so glad I recorded it. It is the video at the top of this post.
