Busan

Wednesday I got off work early and we went to Busan taking the slow train. It was a nice scenic ride.  But umm, apparently they built a new Haeundae train station??  In a completely different part of the city. This threw me off and we had to wander around a little in order to actually find the beach.  This ate up some precious Busan time.

Chris was asked to take a picture of some buff Korean guys playing in the water.  How exhilarating 😛

After the beach I wanted to take them to the Jagalchi fish market. It is nationally renowned in Korea and I thought it would be a cool experience.  However, on the way we decided we didn’t have the time and instead stopped by my old Wing-Chun training center. The friends got to say hello to the master.  That was fun! (But apparently Leide has those pics on her phone – LEIDE, send me those pics!)

  1. Justin!! Wing Chun in Busan?! Please tell me more! I am contemplating a move to Korea to teach and Busan is #1 on my list of places to go…. I’ve found a bit about WC schools in Seoul but so far not much about WC schools in Busan. I just started training at a place in the states this year and love it so much — it’s quickly skyrocketed to #1 on the list of things I will miss / reasons not to go to Korea. Even though I’m pretty settled on going to Korea and I think it will be an overwhelmingly good thing, the idea of giving up my wing chun is painful! I’m sure there are some other good styles I could learn, but man, I would love to find a place to keep up W.C. If you have a chance, could you email me a few more details about the place you trained? I would seriously appreciate it!
