On Saturday, the second day of my dad’s visit, my Korean “sister” took us out to eat at a very fancy traditional Korean restaurant. She used to be my main co-teacher at the school where I teach. She is an amazing person and was so helpful to me when I first came to Korea. She helped me settle into my apartment and trained me as an English teacher. She is definitely like family to me, so when she got a chance to meet my dad, she and her husband treated us to a great lunch, then took us on a tour of the Tongdosa Temple. BFFs Last Day in Korea
Chris and Leide’s last day in Korea was spent in Seoul. The first picture is us getting ready to leave my apartment. Then after a short KTX ride, we met up with my good friend Charlie, who was our tour guide around Sejong Street. Busan
Wednesday I got off work early and we went to Busan taking the slow train. It was a nice scenic ride. But umm, apparently they built a new Haeundae train station?? In a completely different part of the city. This threw me off and we had to wander around a little in order to actually find the beach. This ate up some precious Busan time. Continue reading Busan
Hanging Out in Ulsan
This was the beginning of the second week of my friends’ visit. The rest of the night after hiking Gajisan was drenched in silence and painful exhaustion. BUT we got some good rest and were up and at it the very next day. Off to Church! Apparently it was birthday celebration day for April birthdays. Yay! Then some gooooood Japanese ramen Sunday night, and Korean bbq on Monday night! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
